Why I Started RuRestore

I started losing my hair at 25.

You know that moment. Changing room mirror. Something looks off. You tilt your head. Move the hair around. Tell yourself it's the lighting.

It's not the lighting.

Then it's every mirror you walk past. Phone camera angled above your head. Checking the pillow. Counting hairs in the shower drain. Wearing a hat everywhere. Even when it doesn't make sense.

I did all of it.

£3,000 Hair Transplant. Didn't Work.

By 28 I was desperate enough to get a transplant. Three grand. Thought that would fix everything.

Nobody told me the most important thing. If you don't stop DHT, you just keep losing hair around the transplant. Which is exactly what happened.

Finasteride Made Me Feel Worse Than Being Bald

So I tried finasteride. Side effects hit within weeks. Bad ones. The kind where you're sat there thinking I'd genuinely rather be bald than feel like this.
